It's been winter in Minnesota for a long time.
And it's depressing. Especially when the sun refuses to shine.
So I made a decision.
If the sun won't shine from the sky;
on my ears the sun I'll apply.

I didn’t realize how quiet it had been for 24 hours until the sound filled the walls once again. Sometimes I complain (probably more than sometimes) about the noise level, but I’ll take the noisy craziness that is my life over the quiet, stillness of a sick household any day.

I'm hanging out at my house in yoga pants 90% of the time, but that doesn't stop me from throwing on a bangle, or two, and a necklace. I feel better (who doesn't feel better when you're adorned in beautiful jewels?) and am constantly amazed at how more vast my wardrobe is with the addition of some jewels.

Some days are just bound to be better than others. It's inevitable.
Today is that day for me.
Every three months Stella & Dot releases a new collection. And today I received my order. So, it was a very good day thanks to UPS.
Before I opened all my little boxes of joy...
...and after. See the whole collection here.
Doesn't this make you want to become a stylist, too? I got so much of this free--just for doing my job! And the rest I purchased at 1/2 off. The perks of being a stylist are endless. I really do love my job. I mean, with how many jobs do you get to update your accessory wardrobe every three months, earn commission on what you sell, earn FREE PRODUCT and more prizes and vacations? I feel pretty lucky.
I wrote a little bit more about my love for this company here, if you are interested.

Happy New Year!
I hope you had a fabulous 2013...but I hope 2014 is even better.
I rang in 2014 watching my husband's band play, wearing my favorite little black dress, and, of course, covered in bling.
Somervell Necklace, Phoenix Pendant, Nancy Studs, Eden Ring & Tia Cross Body (Midnight Black, used as a clutch)
I really love how these two necklaces look together and especially love how the Phoenix Pendant looks over lace.
I used to make New Year's resolutions, but then I would feel bad within a few weeks due to failure to live up to the unrealistic goals I set for myself. So now I tend to take things month by month. Monthly goals, for me, tend to be more realistic and attainable. Do you make any New Year's resolutions?

It's snowing. So it's a perfect time for a selfie, right?
I couldn't resist, it's the prettiest type of snow, big fluffy snowflakes.
Goddess Teardrop Hoop Earrings, Sanibel Reversible Pendant & How Does She Do It (Pewter Metallic)
A #snowyselfie...I'm going to start a new hashtag theme. Won't you join me?

Fall is almost my favorite season. Overall, Spring wins that category, but Fall is a very close second.
The colors, the temps, apple orchards...I love it all.
And after a humidity-filled Minnesota Summer, it's always nice to return to sweater weather. But don't worry, by March I'll be over sweater weather. For now, I shall enjoy big sweaters, bright leaves, apple pie, and cooler temps. I love Minnesota.
Interlock Cross Bracelet, Laurel Ring (retired, similar here) & Leopard Scarf (retired, another favorite here)
Signature Hoops and Together Forever Necklace
Do you have a favorite season? Or are you like a lot of Minnesotans I know and your favorite season is the next one, never the one you're on?

I spent an entire WEEK in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic. It was a much needed get-away, both for my business and my marriage.

Last week officially marked the beginning of summer. And then, the very next day, a huge summer storm swept through my area and knocked down trees (including our lovely pear tree) and left many of us powerless for 3 days. So, while it was a crazy start to summer, we’re all cleaned up and I’m ready to move on and enjoy the next few months. It’s time for some fun in the sun!
